Hi, Everyone:
D’Arts, a Chicagoland Group whose mission is to host arts events for DeVry and CCN students and colleagues, invites you to participate in the 2016 Chicagoland Digital Arts Show!
The deadline for submitting digital art is September 12. The show will be available for viewing Sept. 26 – Oct. 1, in conjunction with DVU’s Student Appreciation Week.
Here’s how the Digital Art Show works:
· All DVU and CCN students and colleagues in our group (location and in-market) can participate.
· Artists can submit 1 digital photograph, digital collage or vector artwork, via the submission URL
( http://bit.ly/submitart2016 ). Submission is easy and can be done via any kind of device.
· There are actually 2 contests:
o A students-only contest judged by a digital artist. The judge choses a first place in each category and an overall “Best of Show.” The judge may also designate some honorable mentions. Every student winner gets a certificate and the BoS also gets a $25 gift card.
o A students + colleagues contest to determine the “People’s Choice Award.” Anyone who views the show can vote for their favorite via a cell phone text. If the PCA winner is a colleague, they get a certificate; if the winner is a student, they get a certificate and a $25 gift card.
· Students and colleagues can watch the show and vote for their favorite work of art. Details about voting will be available in September. The People’s Choice winner will be announced the first week of Octob
